SPECIAL WEATHER OUTLOOK ON LABOR DAY 2025
(01 May 2025)
The Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) and the Easterlies will be the dominant weather systems affecting the country on Labor Day. Meanwhile, the Low Pressure Area (LPA) being monitored east of Southern Mindanao is expected to dissipate within 24 hours.
Mindanao and Palawan will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the ITCZ. The Easterlies, on the other hand, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies over Metro Manila and the rest of the country, with the possibility of localized rainshowers or thunderstorms, which may be associated with brief and sudden heavy downpours.
Warm and humid conditions will persist in areas affected by the Easterlies. The public is advised to limit outdoor physical activities between 10:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. to avoid fatigue, heat cramps, and heat exhaustion. Additionally, staying hydrated, taking breaks in shaded areas, and wearing light-colored clothing are encouraged.
This weather outlook will be updated if significant changes in the weather pattern occur. For more information, please contact the Weather Division at telephone number 8284-0800 loc. 4801, or visit our website at www.pagasa.dost.gov.ph.
